America: 193.16 pounds

Canada takes the Lead on Day one of the PWT Dryden Can/Am Event!

22.56 pounds separates the United States anglers from the Canadian anglers as they compete for the bragging rights title of "Champion", of the first PWT Can/Am Pro/Am event here on Lake Wabigoon, in Dryden Ontario.

Canadian Pro Dan Donlinski wowed the crowd with a huge basket of fish weighing in at a scale tipper of 19.18 pounds! "Dan the Man" hails from St. Albert, in Alberta Canada, and his Co Angler, Bill McKinstry of Ontario caught a nice limit, and have set the bar for the other competitors to try and meet.

Giving the Americans a glimpse of hope at a win midway through the weigh in was none other than the leading money winner on the PWT, Mr. Ron Seelhoff!  Ron, who made the trip from Burlington, CO along with  his Co Angler, Gord McDonald of Ontario, brought 5 fish to the scales. Their basket weighed in at 14.74 pounds!

The Canadians have the next 6 places putting them solidly in the lead for that bragging rights trophy!

In third position is Alex Keszler of Dryden, ON and his Co Angler, Mark Boone of Brainerd, MN with 5 fish weighing in at 13.90 pounds.

Following closely behind him is Team Canada's Captain, John Butts of Dryden, ON and his Co Angler, Steve Kusske of Rosemount, MN with another nice limit weighing in at 12.76 pounds.

Rounding out the top 5 is Joe Barron of Spruce Grove, Canada and his Co Angler Fred Mota of Ontario who brought in 5 fish for 12.57 pounds.
