Dan "The Man" Dolinksi Crushes the Field on Day 2!
Even though Pro Walleye Angler, Dan Dolinski, didn't bring in the largest weight of the tournament today, which he only missed by a few ounces by the way, he and his Co Angler, Brent Wyatt, managed to bring in enough weight to send Dan 10.52 pounds ahead of the rest of the competitive field. Their weight was 17.65 for 5 beautiful Walleye, bringing Dan's total weight to a whopping 36.83 pounds, and Brent's total weight to 24.08 pounds...good enough to land him in 4th place position going out tomorrow for the final day of the PWT's Can/Am event.
The first place Co Angler after today's weigh in was also yesterday's leader, Dale Smoke of Sioux Lookout, CAN with a total weight of 29.38 pounds.
Juls: Dan, how do you feel now that you have a pretty dominating lead?
Dan: Well, it feels really good. It's an exceptional fishery and a great town. The people are very friendly. I'm excited about it, but there's still another day, and stuff happens!
There were some bigger weights brought in today...Alex and Wayne Wagner are right behind and on my tail.
I've got a bit of a lead, but I still have to go out there and have a good day tomorrow. They could have a good day like I had the first day, tomorrow, and there goes the lead.
In second place right now is Pro Alex Keszler of Winnipeg, CAN with a total weight of 26.31 pounds, and Co Angler Chris Oakes of Balmertown, CAN with a total weight of 28.13 pounds.
Third place belongs to Pro Angler Wayne Wagner of St.Andrews, who brought in the biggest fish of the day with a beautiful Walleye weighing in at 8.86 pounds. Big enough to earn him the "WalMart Big Fish" for day 2. Wayne's total weight today was 26.13 pounds.
The third place Co Angler is David Heuer of Stillwater, MN with a total weight of 25.41 pounds.

Juls: John Butts, eh...(loving the Canadian accents this week, so I had to say that) yesterday the Canadian team was ahead by 22 pounds, and today it's only 20 pounds....the Americans are catching up to you guys...what do you have to say about that? Think your guys can maintain that lead?
Canadian Team Captain, John Butts: Yep, they're catching up, and there's still another day to go, so you know they're going to come on strong. These guys are tough, and we needed a 20 pound cushion if we have any chance of winning the challenge.
The weather is expected to stay pleasant for the rest of the week, so tomorrow should reveal another day of great catches by all these talented competitors.
