The Port Clinton FLW Tournament got underway this morning. All 123 boats were cleared just after 7:00 and headed towards the lake. Though cool, the skies were mostly clear and the winds had subsided a bit from yesterday afternoon. With Northwest winds from 10-15 mph predicted, the anglers expect a few bumps in the water but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm they all displayed this morning. From talking with many of the pros and co-anglers, prefishing has been, as expected, very good. Some have been doing well pulling harnesses, while others have been using stickbaits to put nice fish in the box. A common complaint I have heard is that the water is too clear. Many anglers report being able to see bottom in 15 FOW. The clear water and abundance of boats are making the fish a bit skittish. Teams will be searching for water that is stained from the mud caused by yesterday's winds and rain. What weight will it take to be in the top ten and be able to fish on saturday? A few pros are saying that 30 pounds a day for today and tomorrow will give them a shot at the top 10 but others are saying it will take closer to 80 pounds total for the two days. We will just have to wait and see as the weights come in later today. The weigh in begins at 3:00 at Waterworks Park in Port Clinton. Day on and day two weigh ins will be held at the park. Day three ceremonies will be held at the Walmart at 2826 East Harbor Road in Port Clinton beginning at 4:00. We will be piggybacking the FLW Live Feed for this event:
